What's In Your Christmas List?

You know how you casually scribble things in your diary so you don't forget them?

As we get nearer Christmas the jobs mount up. So I found myself having to visit Asda on the way home last week.

Here is what was written in my diary:

  • Vodka
  • Pogo Stick
  • Dog Treats
  • Toilet Cleaner

I think I'll package it as an exercise for a creative writing course - feel free to blog your scenario suggestions.

You could have warned us about the snow, I thought my monitor was on the blink!

I was a bit disappointed with it really, after there was such a lot of techno snow blog talk over at Fuel My Blog. I gather some of my other blogging friends are gifted with avalanches they have that much.

Story of my life really.

Still, I don't suppose it helped having a white background, as Sylvie D pointed out!

After necking a full bottle of Absolut Vodka, Crofty swayed homewards along the cobbled maze of mill cottages that constitutes Oldham. Stumbling into a back alley for a leak, he spotted some barefoot Oldham urchins having trouble bouncing on a pogostick they had nicked from ToysRUs.
"Right I'll show you!" slurred Crofty and he bounced all the way home spilling dog treats from the pockets of his Harris Tweed blazer.
Once back at Crofty Lodge, he headed straight for the lavatory where he puked in the ceramic bowl. Bleary-eyed, he looked up beyond the fishnet stockings of his long-suffering wife to see she was holding a bottle of "Cillit Bang!" toilet cleaner. "Now get on with it!" she snarled.

Oh! Excellent YP!

I'm a little perturbed that you might have actually met Mrs C though.

Oh Good Grief, Just where has that photo come from?

You know full well where that photo came from! It's an instinct you professional photographers seem to have: the ability to press the shutter release to catch someone's best moments!

Gosh, us Oldhamers know how to enjoy ourselves at Christmas! Why let the dog in on the act, though?

Have a great holiday, Cofty!
